See Little Witch at Portland Winter Light Festival

The Portland Winter Light Festival (PDXWLF) 2026, running February 6–14, features over 200 free light-based art installations and performances under the theme “All The Little Things”. Exploring the microscopic and overlooked, this year’s premise highlights the small elements and ecosystems that carry significant weight: insects, microscopic worlds, microplastics, minerals, even memories.

Lead Artist Kyle Shelton’s window installation, The Webs We Weave, is an insect theme in origami. A swarm of moths band together vs a dayglo spider in its lair, littered with iridescent origami insects entangled in its web. A few appear to have escaped. Perhaps Little Witch will take them as familiars. Special shout out to founding artist Dallas for his support installing. 6 hands are better than 4+ we both profited greatly from his calm creative insight. https://littlewitchstudio.com/our-people/founders/

Founding Member Teresa (Tre) Roberts’ window installation, Luminous Effervescence, addresses memories & refuse of the collective, creating a dream landscape whose lights play amidst repurposed and upcycled plastics – baked, burbled, glitzed & glued. A lot of stuff and nonsense, really. Just as we like it to be.

Come visit us while you can! The days are dark, so we must irradiate them with our whimsy.
We’re at The Portland Commonwealth Building, 621 SW Washington St, Portland, Oregon, 97205.
Be sure to check out the festival map and events pages for all the pyrotechnics and parties in the streets!
