Founders

Our Founders began Little Witch Studios in 2021 to collaborate with fellow “neurodivergents” and creatives to overcome anxieties and express our unique thought processes. We make stuff and nonsense.

Little Witch Tre RobertsTRE ROBERTS

#Empathic, #Neurodivergent and consequently #Disabled, Tre Roberts dropped out of the Texas art world in the ‘90s to chase white water from Central to Northeast USA, with recurring time-outs in New Mexico’s Land of Enchantment & Entrapment.

She dropped back in via Cascadian utopian politics in 2012, engaging in street & performance art supporting indigenous, environmental & survival issues.
Little Witch manifested unexpectedly during a 2015 sabbatical and demanded an increasingly more internal gaze, dropped several houses on the artist’s head to get her attention, and herded her into the #LunarPunk movement.
Little Witch is now following her own golden brick road on a Hero’s Journey to collaborate with her audience via the Little Witch Coloring Book. Tre is following along, obsessed, or possessed, trying to keep up by founding a collaborative studio.
Come play. Bring your archetypes & art supplies. Please don’t color politely in the lines.

Little Witch TaffneyTAFFNEY NICHOLS

Taffney is a Founding Member and a Maker of Stuff and Nonsense at Little Witch Studio.

She has the stuff that dreams are made of, though she cannot see them yet with third eye blind.
Like most unicorns, her background is varied and colorful. She’s been a smiling face stirring retail & service cauldrons, a shoulder to cry on, and an educating voice in animal husbandry & veterinary care. She’s been a rock, a soft place to land, a cheerleader, wife, mother, sister, and daughter. Most recently, her path includes sitting with people’s pets (see Rocket link) and unexpectedly finding herself positioned as a fresh and vibrant voice in the emerging Solar & LunarPunk Art movement.
What does Taffney’s future hold?
She’s been following that trail of crumbs so long… from Texas to New Mexico to Cascadia at last.
Here Taf met a ginger cat who led her purring to a ginger house with candy trimmings. What will she find within? A spell to end the path of breadcrumbs and weave a settled life that’s rich and full?
First she must fulfill the tasks Little Witch has set for her.
With every setback and each success her spell is woven.
So mote it be.

RACHEL SHELTON

Rachel is a Jane-of-all-trades and master of some. Her passion for community-building combined with experience in business and nonprofit management, plus scrappy start-up skills makes her the go-to team member to put up a website, format media for printing, and strategize business models. When she isn’t collapsed on the floor from juggling all of the things, she is visiting Portland’s beautiful parks with her husband and two beautiful kids.
