As an artist, there are very few things quite as rewarding as walking into your shared gallery opening to a packed house. Being greeted with standing room only, oooohs, aaaahs, and smiling astonished faces is incredibly rewarding. As is the satisfaction of showing amongst such high caliber artists in a gallery that opens like a jewel box to reveal its treasures.
Representing Little Witch Studio, lead artist Kyle Shelton presented complex aquatic and dreamscape origami. Images from Little Witch Coloring Book (by founding member Tre Roberts — also on display) were printed onto origami paper and folded in fantastic fish. Voila! Libris transformed into paper sculpture. We were a huge success!
In the following weeks workshops were hosted by our artists which turned out fantastically. This was a truly eclectic book arts show featuring 24 other artists, and included live music at the opening and closing events. What a pleasure it was to be hosted by GaGallery for the Galeria Libris March 2025 showcase.
